Batesville’s 5-4-1 mark in 2009 was only good enough for a sixth-place conference finish. This is a program that had averaged nearly 10 wins in the previous five years and had claimed a conference championship in 2005. Instead of a continuation of achievement, the 2009 Pioneers failed to meet expectations because they were unable to play complete games. That was 2009; this is 2010.
